Prosper Africa Coordinator British A. Robinson will travel to participate in the 20th U.S.-sub-Saharan Africa Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum on November 2-4, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Forum, known as the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Forum, is an annual gathering of leaders from the United States and African AGOA-eligible countries, business, and civil society to discuss deepening trade and investment ties between the United States and sub-Saharan Africa. This year’s Forum comes at a pivotal time as the AGOA legislation is set to expire in 2025.
Coordinator Robinson will deliver remarks and participate in a series of roundtables and events with a series of high-level roundtables and events to better understand private sector needs related to AGOA and accelerate exports under AGOA and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). She will also visit South African companies that export under AGOA and are supported by the U.S. government.
