The Challenge
Field Intelligence, an American healthcare technology company working in Nigeria and Kenya, helps pharmacy owners manage their inventory and avoid stockouts and missed sales. It also serves as a cheaper and more convenient source of alternative financing to small pharmacies. The team wanted to raise outside capital to expand into new markets but first they needed support with the fundraising process.
Our Solution & Impact
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) provided Field Intelligence with Prosper Africa transaction advisory support focused on market-sizing and valuation to help them secure investment and meet their fundraising goals. With this support, Field Intelligence completed a $3.6 million investment round led by U.S. impact investor Blue Haven Initiative. This investment will fund the scale up of Field’s Shelf Life service, which helps pharmacies manage their inventory and finances so they can reliably stock the high-quality medicines their customers need – a critical innovation in the wake of COVID-19.
