Copia Global, a Kenya-based startup, delivers essential products like household goods, personal care products, and school supplies to low- and middle-income consumers in rural and peri-urban areas in Kenya. With $5 million in equity from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Copia Global will grow its mobile commerce platform and logistics network. The company aims to reach underserved communities including women and people earning less than $10 per day. Approximately 70 percent of its customers are employed by small businesses or farms.
